Position Summary

Registered / Enrolled Nurse – Peri Operative Department – Endoscopy Unit, St Vincent’s Private Hospital Fitzroy campus (SVPHM).

Working hours are flexible for either full‑time or part‑time schedules, with 9 days per fortnight or shifts of 10, 8 and 6 hours to support a work/life balance. The role is integral to managing the day‑to‑day functioning of the unit and supporting a high‑performing team.

Responsibilities

- Assist the nursing team in the peri‑operative care of patients within the Endoscopy Unit.
- Maintain patient safety and support quality care throughout the operating theatre process.
- Collaborate with surgical staff, clinicians and support staff to ensure efficient unit operations.
- Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum of three years’ experience in the Operating Theatre.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to engage with all key stakeholders.

- Criminal record and/or child protection checks will be conducted and are required for selection.
- Compliance with the SVHA Staff Health Screening & Immunisation Policy, which includes mandatory immunisations/vaccinations as relevant to the role.
