This is a position within the SuperChem Pharmacy group and is available to registered pharmacists and interns. The position is based in the Perth CBD, Western Australia.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Dispensing medications after confirming patients’ medication histories and verifying the appropriateness of dosage and administration methods and compatibility.
- Checking prescriptions written by interns and dispensing technicians.
- Advise patients on safe and best use of medication.
- Preparing and, if necessary, supervising the production and labelling of liquid medicines, ointments, powders, pills and other pharmaceuticals for compounded prescriptions where appropriate.
- Responsible for the development and expansion of the business, exercising sufficient control to ensure the efficiency of operations, developing staff expertise and ensuring that top‑class customer service is offered in both the front of store and the dispensary.
- Advise prescribers on drug incompatibility and contra‑indications.
- Review and monitor the individual patient’s drug therapy.
- Assess the effectiveness of the total drug therapy.
- Maintain prescription paperwork and document issue of narcotics, poisons and habit‑forming medicines.
- Storage and preservation of vaccines, serums and other pharmaceuticals liable to deterioration.
- Ability to administer all NIP and WA based vaccines including COVID‑19 and provide training for any future extension of the pharmacy vaccination program.




- Be trained and familiar with the diagnosis and treatment of simple UTIs.
- Be trained and familiar with OCP replenishment.
- Providing over‑the‑counter drugs and diagnostic and therapeutic aids to patients and customers.
- Help with customer service problems.
- Maintain all dispensary supply requirements through comprehensive ordering using the dispense software and methods established by our skilled staff.
- Be familiar with how to utilise and maintain MedAdvisor.
- Providing leadership inside the pharmacy while adhering to all State and Federal pharmacy rules.
- Work to the standards expected of current personnel and colleagues, The Pharmacy Board of Australia and The Pharmacy Guild of Australia.
- Ready to embrace all areas of the future growth of pharmacist profession and should comprehend and be ready to tackle all aspects of the 8CPA Professional Pharmacy Program.
- Registered with The Pharmacy Board of Australia.
- Good personnel management and customer service skills.

Salary

Salary: $80,000.00 per year

Experience

- 1 year pharmacy (Preferred)

Certifications/Licenses

- Min. Provisional AHPRA registration & First Aid Cert (Essential)
