Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia's future. Downer Professional Services is Australia's multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and Government. We currently have an prospect for a Supply Chain Analyst based in Edinburgh, South Australia to support Naval Construction Branch logistics, warehousing and supply chain support projects.
What You'll Do
- Support warehouse operations, inventory control, stocktakes, audits and assurance activities in accordance with Defence logistics policies and procedures.
- Assist with the receipt, storage, handling, issue, transfer and disposal of Commonwealth-owned materiel, including Government Furnished Equipment.
- Maintain traceability and accountability of GFE across the supply chain, including export‑controlled and sensitive materiel.
- Support codification, cataloguing, logistics data remediation and Supply Chain Account activities using systems such as MILIS and the Maritime Catalogue.
- Assist with discrepancy management, governance activities, compliance reviews and stakeholder engagement across Defence, Program Offices, shipbuilders and contractors.
What You'll Bring
- Experience supporting warehousing, inventory management, supply chain or logistics activities within a Defence or similarly regulated environment.
- Understanding of Defence logistics policy, stock accountability, materiel management and DEFLOGMAN requirements.
- Familiarity with MILIS, codification, cataloguing, inventory data management or Supply Chain Account processes.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and support governance, assurance and compliance outcomes.
- A collaborative and professional approach, with strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain an AGSVA Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
