We invite applications for NDIS Local Area Coordination (LAC) professionals to join our team at our Taree HNEC site.

Full‑time permanent, 38 hours per week, weekdays 9 am to 5 pm.

- Work‑from‑home flexibility two days per week.
- Starting from SCHADS 4.1: $92k per year plus salary packaging up to $18,550 (pay less tax) plus super.
- Rostered day off once a month.

What you’ll be doing in this role

As a Local Area Coordinator, you will use your people skills, multitasking ability and adaptability to assist participants in linking to and navigating the NDIS. You will guide participants in their options, help them make informed choices, gather information for the development of their NDIS plans, build capacity, and support them in exploring ways to achieve their goals.

Your work will include:

- Supporting people with disabilities, their families and carers by providing linkage and referrals to community and mainstream services and/or services funded by the NDIA’s Grant programmes.
- Using hands‑on NDIS and Uniting training to develop a thorough understanding of how to best support NDIS participants through the various stages of their pathway.
- Undertaking other duties as requested by the Service Area Leadership Team in line with the general nature and responsibilities of the position.

Who we’re looking for

- Excellent people skills, excellent communication, customer‑service orientation and time‑management ability.
- Background in disability or understanding of a Local Area Coordinator and NDIS knowledge, or Lived Experience.




- Successfully managing multiple responsibilities or experience with high KPI‑driven work or targets and caseloads, delivering service‑delivery deadlines.
- Adaptable, empathetic, resourceful, embodying Uniting’s values of compassion, respect, imagination and boldness.
