How you’ll make a difference
- Build your technical skills and industry knowledge while working alongside experienced engineers and transport planners.
- Assist with gathering and organising engineering data using established procedures and systems.
- Support the delivery of transport and traffic engineering projects by contributing to technical calculations, analysis and project documentation.
- Learn how engineering standards and guidelines are applied in the planning and design of transport infrastructure.
- Contribute to developing creative solutions that address real‑world transport and mobility challenges.
- Gain exposure to safe systems principles and how they are used to create safer outcomes for all road users.
- Assist with projects that plan and improve the movement of people across different transport modes, including aviation, roads, public transport, walking and cycling.
- Participate in project meetings,
site visits and multidisciplinary collaboration to build practical engineering experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Civil Engineering – penultimate year.
- Strong interest in pavements for aviation and highways.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
- Positive and proactive attitude, adaptability and a commitment to professionalism and integrity.
- Full working rights in Australia or New Zealand. Candidates with student or graduate visas are welcome.
- Availability to work full‑time hours from 16 November 2026 to 19 February 2027.
