- Band 6 salary range of between $99,065.45 and $109,393.53 per annum plus 12% superannuation and annual leave loading.
- 2-year temporary full-time position

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Integrated Water Management Officer to play a key role in shaping Council's approach to water management, working across planning, design, construction and asset management activities. This 2‑year full‑time position offers the opportunity to influence strategic outcomes, build robust stakeholder partnerships and lead initiatives that improve water quality, sustainability and livability across the municipality.
Typical day
- Coordinate the development and implementation of Council's Integrated Water Management Strategy, collaborating with internal teams, external stakeholders and the community.
- Identify and implement opportunities for improving Council's integrated water management practices.
- Provide specialist advice on planning, design, construction and maintenance projects, with a focus on water‑sensitive urban design and water‑quality improvement outcomes.
- Prepare technical reports, policy documents, guidelines and recommendations, while responding to community enquiries and supporting continuous improvement across Council's infrastructure and environmental initiatives.
- Proactively collaborate with and guide a diverse range of internal stakeholders to improve Council's IWM practices.
What you will bring
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or a directly related discipline.
- Comprehensive experience in integrated water management practices, projects, policies and strategies.
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills, including proven ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Well‑developed project management skills, including proven ability to take initiative and deliver effective outcomes.
