The opportunity with us as Construction Surveyor
We are looking for a Construction Surveyor to join our high‑performing Melbourne team. Reporting to the Melbourne Survey Manager, you will be executing precise surveying tasks on built‑form construction projects. This role involves set‑out, verification, as‑built, and documentation of survey data to support engineering and construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform calculations, set‑out, as‑built and verification tasks for structural elements, gridlines, and services on built‑form projects.
- Provide accurate plans, measurements, calculations, and reports to support engineering and construction teams.
- Manage survey equipment, software, and data management systems (e.g., Leica, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Use surveying equipment (e.g., total stations, GPS, theodolites) to measure angles, distances, and elevation.
- Lead and mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development aligned with company goals.
Qualifications
- University qualification or TAFE Diploma in Surveying.
- Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in construction surveying, specifically in high‑rise or built‑form projects.
- Extensive knowledge of surveying instruments and software (e.g., 12d software, AutoCAD, Leica Survey equipment).
- Valid driver’s license and WhiteCard.
- Experience in communicating with clients and understanding their requirements.
- Ability to multitask and work independently.
- Experience in major infrastructure, civil or commercial construction projects in Australia.
With this role, the successful candidate must successfully pass pre‑employment background and drug screening. Periodic drug testing may be required per company policy.
