Role Description

Experienced SAP Solution Architect specialising in S/4HANA and SAP BTP Integration Suite, with strong expertise in architecting and delivering scalable integration solutions across A2A, B2B, API, and event‑driven landscapes. Skilled in defining integration architectures, leading migration and digital transformation initiatives, and implementing SAP best practices (ISAM, clean core). Proven ability to drive end‑to‑end delivery, guide teams, and align integration strategies with business goals using CPI, API Management, and Event Mesh.

AUD 192,845–209,939 Annual Gross

Roles and Responsibilities

Hold responsibility for overall integration of artifacts and delivery

Assess existing integration architecture, landscape and middleware

Produce documentation, plans and to‑be architectures for the migration or creation of integration scenarios on SAP BTP Integration Suite

Leverage SAP best practices and SAP ISAM to the deliverables

Suggest, map and implement supported integration message patterns to existing integration scenarios

Leverage SAP BTP Integration Suite and relevant services for delivery of artifacts on Cloud Platform Integration, A2A and B2B scenarios, API Management & Event Mesh / Advanced Event Mesh

Design, develop and deploy integration artifacts using Cloud Platform Integration, A2A and B2B scenarios, API Management & Event Mesh / Advanced Event Mesh

Lead and guide teams to project goals and align integration delivery to the overall project milestones, goals and timelines

Elicit requirements, deal with inputs, participate in workshops with the customer, internal and external project stakeholders on delivery and artifacts

Participate in regular discussions and meetings and report accurate status





15+ years of experience in SAP BTP middleware integration & API Management areas including at least 5–6 years in SAP BTP Integration Suite on Cloud Platform Integration, A2A and B2B scenarios, API Management & Event Mesh / Advanced Event Mesh

Experience in minimum of 3 SAP BTP Integration Implementation projects using SAP BTP Integration Suite

Experience in leading upgrade and migration projects with a focus on SAP Cloud Platform Integration

Comfortable in creating an integration design blueprint for complex projects

Experience with SAP S/4HANA on Cloud deployments or migrations

Preferred

Architecture and Solution design: Analysis of Integration requirements of IT solutions together with internal and external customers

Support & influence SAP BTP integration, API and data flow architectures, considering API first approach & SAP best practices

Identify processing & performance optimization opportunities

Proactive evaluation of new SAP features in Integration Suite, e.g., Integration advisor, Trading Partner management

Understanding of SAP functional areas and overall SAP BTP architecture

Subject matter expertise in SAP BTP integration Suite

Strong expertise in designing and implementing complex integration scenarios, including experience with various integration patterns and protocols using SAP BTP Integration Suite

Deep understanding of pre‑packaged integration content and effective use of the same

Proven expertise in developing Enterprise‑Grade, robust iFlows for SAP, non‑SAP systems in A2A and B2B for both asynchronous and synchronous communication

Proficiency in implementing integration patterns like content‑based routing, Scatter‑Gather, Splitter

Expertise in integration scenarios using different adapters such as HTTP, IDOC, JDBC, File, SOAP, Rest, OData, Graph, etc.





Expertise in using various kinds of mapping such as message mapping, XSLT mapping and mapping using Groovy scripts

Expertise in exception handling mechanisms for integration flows

Deep understanding of quality‑of‑service concepts such as Guaranteed Delivery, retry mechanism, Idempotent Receiver

Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues, ensuring the stability and performance of integration solutions

Proficiency in integration message monitoring and logging

Good understanding of adapter inbound and outbound security configurations

Usage of Transport management system in Integration Suite

Expertise in Groovy scripts

Experience with IS‑API management including topics like creating API providers, APIs, policies, and API Products

In‑depth understanding of API Authorization and Authentication, access control, and other policies

Experience with implementing event‑driven integrations using Event Mesh technology

Knowledge on Integration Advisor, Integration Advisory methodology & trading partner management

Additional

Excellent communication skills / experience with customer‑facing position roles

Must possess the ability to collaborate & coordinate remotely with functional teams in various regions, locations and technology centres

Must be a self‑starter, capable of working with very little supervision

Must be capable of taking initiative and be proactive, with a firm understanding of the final goal to be achieved
