Job Overview
Director of Portfolio Management – Interventional Oncology. Responsible for leading portfolio strategy for the ablation segment, including IntelliBlate Microwave Ablation and My Ablation Guide (MAG) software solutions. This role identifies market opportunities, defines portfolio priorities, informs lifecycle strategy, and develops investment and pricing recommendations to support global growth objectives. Key Responsibilities
Translate business strategies into portfolio strategies: define product direction, positioning, value propositions, market insights, assessments, roadmaps, and feature requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (New Product Introductions, R&D;, engineering, manufacturing, sales, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Global Product Management, Commercial Marketing) to validate concepts and enhance offerings. Conduct strategic market insight and analysis: customer segmentation, competitor analysis, SWOT, and market trend research to support product pipeline decisions. Develop and maintain portfolio roadmaps, evaluate investment opportunities, and prioritize resources aligned with business goals and customer needs. Monitor portfolio performance, recommend actions (investment, sustainment, partnership, acquisition, retirement) and report outcomes. Engage Medical Affairs to align evidence development with commercial strategy and to address clinical relevance. Support regulatory planning for priority markets, and orchestrate new market expansion strategies. Build strategic partnerships internally and externally to amplify brand reach and accelerate growth. Collaborate with finance to develop financial models and ROI analyses for product development and marketing initiatives.
Required Qualifications and Experience
10+ years in medical device, medtech, life sciences, or healthcare portfolio/product management. Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred. Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional teams and portfolio initiatives in a matrixed global environment. Proficiency in business tools (Microsoft Office Suite) and portfolio management, market modeling, financial analysis, business case development, and roadmap planning tools. Extensive knowledge of interventional oncology, ablation technologies, image‑guided therapy, procedural software, or related medical device markets. Strong executive communication, interpersonal, decision‑making, and judgment skills. Compensation and Benefits
Base pay range: $181,310 – $249,304 (location and experience may affect starting pay). This is a commission‑eligible position, with commissions based on individual and company performance per the company plan.
