The Project is a greenfield mining, process, material handling and ship loading project with a focus on sustaining production, minimizing environmental impacts, strengthening long-term relationships with neighboring communities and fostering local economic development. Job Summary:
In this role, you will conduct field investigations and plan specifications for hydrology & hydraulic design for large projects. You will lead flood analysis, special studies, and interpret regulations. You will participate in new business efforts, interview clients, develop estimates, and participate in proposal preparation. Your technical expertise will contribute to project flood risk prevention and mitigation. Major Responsibilities:
Evaluate, select, and apply standard hydrology and hydraulic engineering methods, preparing flood analysis including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, flood risk and impact assessments, flood protection and mitigation, river training and diversion, riverine erosion and scour protection design, stormwater management and drainage design, sediment control design, and associated permitting applications produced for the project for both permanent and temporary facilities as required. Provide oversight of value engineering, constructability reviews, safety reviews, and O&M; reviews. Coordinate civil or structural engineering designs with hydrology and hydraulic assessments. Conduct review of hydrology and hydraulic interpretative reports and work with geotechnical consultants to produce high quality co‑coordinated submissions. Develop plans and schedules and coordinate each phase of hydrologic and hydraulics design development for motorways, local roads, and interchanges and grading.
