About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior WHSE and Systems Support Business Partner looking for a new challenge to deliver expert WHSE advice and support on a 12 Month Maximum term Contract. This position will partner with our operational leaders to identify and control WHSE risks, support regulatory compliance, improve WHSE performance, and promote a proactive safety culture across all levels of our business.

In addition, the successful applicant will also support the ongoing development, maintenance and reporting of Pentarch’s WHSE Management Systems and WHSE software platforms, including our WHSE activity planner and Donesafe WHSE Software.

This position is based in our Southbank office and covers our southern region. It requires travel to our sites across Regional Victoria, Tasmania and Western Australia approximately 10 times across the year.

Key Responsibilities

- Providing advice, coaching and feedback to managers to develop their WHSE knowledge and capability, as well as supporting them in identifying, assessing, controlling, and reviewing hazards.
- Undertaking site inspections and audits of Pentarch safety management systems.
- Undertaking and advising on ICAM investigations and facilitating reviews of site risk profiles as required.
- The monitoring, measuring, tracking and reporting of activity planner initiatives and corrective actions from risk assessments, investigations, inspections and audits.
- Supporting the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of Pentarch Group’s WHSE Management System and WHSE reporting.
- Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the WHSE Software (Donesafe).
- Support with the WHSE Activity planner and other projects and strategic initiatives as required.

Qualifications

- Extensive experience in a safety role within manufacturing or similar high‑risk industry (essential).
- A Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or relevant tertiary qualification in a related field is required.




- ICAM Lead Investigator, Internal Auditor certification and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment are highly regarded.
- A comprehensive knowledge of WHSE legislation, standards and best practices and a demonstrated commitment to promoting a proactive, practical and risk‑aware safety culture.
- A clear understanding of and familiarity with the use of WHSE management systems and reporting practices.
- The ability to partner effectively with site managers, supervisors and functional leaders to support WHSE compliance, systems implementation and improvement initiatives.
- A proven track record of conducting WHSE audits, incident investigations and reporting related matters.
- Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills with the ability to lead, engage, influence and encourage positive behaviours.
