About the Opportunity Join a high-growth entertainment technology scale-up as Head of Product Development. Lead the technical delivery and platform evolution of our core digital experiences, powering engaging consumer and internal tools used across Australia. Drive AI-first engineering practices while partnering closely with the executive team. Convenient access to the ExCo and report to the CIO in a hands-on leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

Own platform stability, architecture, and engineering quality across portals, APIs, integrations, and mobile apps.

Provide strong people leadership - coach, mentor, and develop a team of ~20 (Team Leads, Delivery Manager, analysts) across multiple squads.

Partner with product, design, and executive stakeholders to align priorities, influence decisions, and drive change management.

Champion AI-first development practices, modern standards, and technical strategy.

Ensure high uptime, low incidents, strong delivery metrics, and continuous modernisation.

Manage stakeholder communication, roadmaps, risks, and cross-functional priorities with strong executive influence.

What You’ll Bring





8+ years in software engineering with 3+ years in engineering leadership (multiple teams/squads).

Proven track record in people leadership, coaching, and mentoring high-performing engineering teams.

Experience leading complex web/mobile platforms in a rapid-paced tech environment.

Strong architectural design skills, change management expertise, and experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD, observability, and incident response.

Excellent executive influencing and stakeholder management skills - able to translate technical concepts and drive alignment at senior levels.

Brisbane-based (hybrid model) with passion for building scalable, user-focused entertainment products and AI-first ways of working.
