About Roadform (Previously AAA Asphalt Surfaces)

Roadform delivers complete road and civil works across Western Australia. We work across Perth metro, regional WA and the Pilbara, and we've built our reputation on setting projects up properly and delivering a finished result that stands up over time. Our crews are the heart of that. We keep our gear well maintained, we run safe sites, and we look after the people who do the work.

About the Role

As an Asphalt Crew Member / Plant Operator you'll work on our regional WA and Pilbara projects, moving between operating plant and working on the ground depending on what the job needs on the day.

This is FIFO / DIDO work on a 2:1 roster, mobilising from Perth. It means time away from home, early starts, long days, and working in remote locations and extreme heat. In return, you'll get permanent, consistent work, your travel and accommodation sorted, good equipment, and a crew that has your back.

What you'll be doing

- Operating paving plant and rollers to lay and compact asphalt to MRWA and project specifications

- Operating support plant such as skid steer / bobcat where required

- Working as part of the paving crew on the ground — raking, shovelling and screed work

- Hand-laying asphalt in detailed or tight areas

- Preparing and setting out surfaces ahead of paving

- Monitoring mat quality, levels and compaction as you go

- Daily pre-start checks and basic maintenance on plant and equipment

- Working safely around plant, equipment and live traffic, often on or near operating mine sites

- Keeping the work area clean, safe and compliant

- Following site safety, quality and specification requirements

What you'll bring

Essential:

- Willingness and availability to work FIFO / DIDO on a 2:1 roster across regional and Pilbara projects

- A reliable, team-first attitude and a strong work ethic

- Good physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in remote conditions and extreme heat

- Current WA driver's licence (HR or HC licence preferred)

- Construction Induction (White Card)

- Experience operating plant such as rollers, skid steer / bobcat, or paving equipment

- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and ongoing fitness-for-work requirements, including pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing

Highly regarded (not essential):

- Previous asphalt or paving crew experience

- Paver or screed operating experience

- Relevant plant tickets / VOCs (roller, skid steer / bobcat)

- Current mine site inductions or experience working on resource sites

- Traffic management tickets (TMI / TC)

- Civil or road construction experience

What's on offer

- Base rate plus penalties and allowances

- 2:1 FIFO / DIDO roster with travel and accommodation provided

- Permanent, year-round work

- Superannuation

- Up-to-date, well-maintained plant and equipment

- Support with training, tickets and broadening your plant operating skills

- A genuine career path with a growing WA business

Our approach

We're easy to work with, we set projects up properly, and we back our people to do good work safely. Out on regional and remote sites that matters even more; safety, quality and looking after each other is how we run every job.
