Cement Australia
Pinkenba
Keep Australia's construction industry moving.
At Cement Australia, our Customer Operations team is the vital link between our customers, transport network and operations teams. Every day, we coordinate orders, solve problems and ensure our customers receive the products they need, when they need them.
This Customer Experience Coordinator role (internally known as a Customer Service Office) is much more than a traditional customer service role. It's an operational position where you'll manage competing priorities, coordinate deliveries, build strong customer relationships and help keep one of Australia's largest supply chains moving.
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving problems and take pride in getting the details right, we'd love to hear from you.
We'd especially love to hear from people who have worked in transport, logistics, manufacturing, warehousing, industrial distribution, building materials or supply chain environments.
Your Opportunity
Based in our Pinkenba office, you'll join a collaborative team responsible for delivering an outstanding customer experience while supporting the efficient movement of products across our national network.
In this role you'll:
- Be the first point of contact for customers via phone and email.
- Process high volumes of customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor deliveries and proactively communicate transport updates and delays.
- Investigate and resolve customer enquiries with professionalism and urgency.
- Liaise with transport providers, production teams and internal stakeholders to ensure orders remain on track.
- Balance daily priorities in a busy operational environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Contribute ideas that improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
What You’ll Bring
You're someone who enjoys being proactive, remains calm under pressure and takes ownership of finding solutions.
You'll also bring:
- Experience in a fast-paced customer service, customer operations, order management or logistics coordination role.
- Confidence managing high volumes of customer enquiries and order processing while maintaining accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders.
- Solid organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks throughout the day.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and resilience during busy periods.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and ideally SAP or another ERP system.
- Experience within logistics, transport, manufacturing, industrial or supply chain environments will be highly regarded.
