Gov Recruit is seeking two experienced .NET Developers to join a Federal Government ICT team delivering major application modernisation and digital transformation initiatives.
Working within a collaborative Agile environment, you will contribute to the development, enhancement and support of enterprise and election-critical applications using contemporary Microsoft technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale ICT projects focused on modernising legacy systems, improving application reliability, and delivering innovative digital solutions.
The position is based in Canberra with hybrid working arrangements available. An active NV1 Security Clearance is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
As a .NET Developer, you will work across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), developing secure, scalable and high-quality software solutions while collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and enhance enterprise applications using C# and the Microsoft .NET technology stack.
- Design and develop Web APIs and SQL-based backend solutions.
- Participate in the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Develop automated build and deployment pipelines using .NET technologies.
- Work within Agile delivery teams using Azure DevOps.
- Analyse and resolve production issues.
- Produce well-designed, documented and testable code.
- Participate in peer code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Engage with business and technical stakeholders to deliver project outcomes.
- Contribute to application modernisation and digital transformation projects.
Required Skills & Experience (Essential)
- Demonstrated experience developing applications using C# and the Microsoft .NET Framework/.NET.
- Strong experience with Web APIs and SQL technologies.
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
- Experience using Visual Studio and Azure DevOps.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience developing automated build and deployment solutions.
- Experience developing cloud-based applications.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable and testable code.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
