In-House Senior Construction Lawyer

The in-house team work closely with various streams of the business, where they provide advice to the Senior Management Team, Tender Bid Leaders, as well as clients, prospective clients and their respective legal representatives.

Position description

Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, and working closely with the Commercial Manager, this role will see you providing legal advice to various arms of the business.

You will also be responsible for:

- reviewing and advising on the terms of construction contracts;
- drafting and negotiating agreements;
- providing general corporate legal advice as well as ad hoc legal advice in relation to emerging project issues;
- reviewing and updating the company's precedent agreements and other legal documents;
- monitoring changes in the law; and
- designing and delivering legal issue related training to staff.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have at least 7 years' post admission experience in front-end construction. Ideally you will have worked in either a reputable firm or in house legal team.
