The Role

We are seeking highly skilled and committed Primary Teachers who are passionate about improving outcomes for all students and who understand the critical role that relationships, consistency and high expectations play in student success.

Successful applicants will ideally be able to:

- Implement whole-school programs, instructional frameworks, policies and agreed practices with fidelity to ensure consistency of teaching and learning across the school.

- Apply trauma-informed practices that recognise and respond to the diverse social, emotional and behavioural needs of students.

- Maintain an unwavering belief in the capacity of every student to succeed, demonstrating unconditional positive regard while holding students to high expectations.
- Differentiate curriculum, instruction and assessment to meet the diverse learning, behavioural and engagement needs of all students.
- Effectively manage complex classroom environments, including supporting students who may present with significant behavioural, social-emotional or regulation challenges.
- Use evidence-informed behaviour support strategies to establish predictable routines, maximise student engagement and promote positive learning behaviours.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to plan, implement and monitor targeted interventions that improve student outcomes.
- Reflect on practice, seek feedback and engage in ongoing professional growth to enhance teaching effectiveness.

Mobility appointments for permanent metropolitan and south west teachers

Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
