The Opportunity We're looking for an experienced Ancillary Superintendent to lead the safe and efficient operation of a large ancillary equipment fleet supporting an open pit mining operation. You'll be responsible for driving equipment availability, leading frontline supervisors and operators, improving productivity, and ensuring maintenance and operational plans are executed safely and effectively.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced leader who enjoys developing teams, improving performance, and working closely with mining, maintenance and planning departments.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead the day-to-day operation of the ancillary fleet across the mine site.

Manage supervisors and operators to deliver safe, efficient and productive outcomes.

Coordinate equipment availability with maintenance teams to minimise downtime.

Drive improvements in fleet utilisation, productivity and operational performance.

Ensure all work is completed in line with safety, environmental and statutory requirements.

Monitor KPIs, budgets and operational performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Assist with short and long-term operational planning.

Coach, mentor and develop frontline leaders and operational teams.

Build strong relationships across mining,



maintenance and technical services departments.

Promote a positive safety culture and lead by example.

What You'll Bring

Previous experience as an Ancillary Superintendent, Mining Superintendent or similar leadership role within open pit mining.

Strong understanding of ancillary mining equipment operations.

Proven leadership experience managing large operational teams.

Experience working closely with maintenance and mine planning teams.

Strong knowledge of mining safety legislation and risk management.

Ability to analyse operational data and drive performance improvements.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Relevant mining or leadership qualifications are highly regarded.
