Company Description Our client is a very well known and high profile Not For Profit based in Melbourne's CBD who also offer a very flexible hybrid work model.

Role Description The Board Secretariat is a contract to permanent role starting ASAP. The role is responsible for supporting the Board and senior leadership with high-quality secretarial and governance services, including preparing agendas, board packs, and minutes for Board and committee meetings.

Day-to-day tasks include coordinating meeting schedules, managing correspondence and documentation, maintaining statutory registers and governance records, and ensuring that board processes align with regulatory and internal requirements. The position also involves liaising with board members and stakeholders, tracking action items, following up on deadlines, and supporting board reporting and compliance activities.

The Board Secretariat will work closely with executive leaders and administrative staff to enhance board efficiency and provide reliable executive administrative assistance.

Qualifications

- Strong company secretarial and governance skills, including experience with Board and committee meeting administration and maintaining statutory records.




- Proficient clerical and administrative skills, including document management, scheduling, record-keeping, and attention to detail.
- Executive administrative assistance capabilities, such as supporting senior leadership, preparing reports, and handling confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, including stakeholder liaison, professional written communication, and responsive support to Board members.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in business, law, management, or a related field; governance or company secretarial certifications (e.g., GIA/CGI) are highly regarded.
- Experience working with boards or executive committees, ideally within skilled services, recruitment, or finance-related environments.
- High level of organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and proficiency with standard office software and digital collaboration tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work setting, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
