Purpose and Impact

The Logistics Support Officer at Joint Defence Facility Pine Gap is an entry‑level role supporting effective warehouse and supply chain operations through accurate inventory management, material handling, and timely distribution of goods. The role is responsible for receiving and issuing stock, maintaining inventory records, assisting with procurement and disposal activities, and supporting warehouse organization across multiple locations. Working with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers, the Logistics Support Officer helps deliver reliable logistics services while maintaining safety, compliance, and professional standards.

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 16:00 (38 hours per week).

Essential Responsibilities

- Receive, inspect, store, and issue goods across multiple warehouse locations while maintaining accurate inventory records and SAP transactions.
- Prepare, package, palletise, and dispatch consignments, including AMC freight, and complete associated documentation.
- Conduct deliveries within site locations, assist with stocktakes, report discrepancies, and support procurement, disposal, and warehouse organisation activities.
- Provide timely customer service to stakeholders and maintain safe, compliant, and efficient logistics operations.

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

- Valid Driver’s License.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory systems such as SAP.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills.




- Strong attention to detail and record‑keeping skills.
- Australian Citizenship.

Security Clearance Required

NV‑1/SECRET Department of Defence (Australian) or SSBI (U.S.) clearance, with ability to obtain higher clearances if required.

Minimum Education

Completion of secondary education or equivalent relevant experience.

Minimum Years of Experience

Minimum 6 months experience in logistics, warehousing, supply chain, or relevant transferable experience.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain operations.
- Forklift Licence and materials handling experience.
- HR Driver’s License.
- White Card.
- Experience using SAP, WMS, or similar inventory systems.
- Administrative and inventory control experience.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.

Safety and Security Sensitive Position

This position is designated as a safety‑sensitive position. Amentum is a drug‑free workplace and requires all personnel to comply with company drug and alcohol policies as a condition of employment.
