Job Description
- Provide expert legal advice on regulatory and compliance matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents and contracts.
- Assist in managing legal risks and ensuring adherence to legislative requirements.
- Support investigations and prepare legal briefs for enforcement actions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to address legal issues.
- Represent the organisation in legal proceedings or at external forums, as required.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks.
- Provide training and guidance on legal matters to internal teams.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Solicitor should have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law and admitted to practice as an Australian Lawyer.
- Proven experience in providing high-quality legal advice within a regulated workplace.
- Strong criminal law knowledge with significant prosecution and advocacy experience.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
