Opportunity

We are working with a well-established engineering consultancy looking to strengthen its structural capability within the mining and resources sector. This is an opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to take on a key role delivering complex brownfield and greenfield mining projects across Australia, while also contributing to client engagement and project leadership.

You will be joining a team with a strong pipeline of work across major mining operators, working across assets such as processing plants, materials handling infrastructure, and heavy industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver structural design and analysis for mining and heavy industrial projects (steel and concrete structures)
- Lead and manage packages of work across feasibility, FEED, and detailed design phases
- Interface with multidisciplinary teams across mechanical, civil, and geotechnical functions
- Provide technical oversight, mentoring junior engineers and reviewing design outputs
- Engage directly with mining clients,



supporting project delivery and ongoing relationships
- Contribute to proposals, tenders, and work-winning activities within the mining sector

About You

- Degree-qualified in Civil/Structural Engineering
- 8-12+ years' experience within structural engineering, with a strong focus on mining or heavy industry
- Proven experience designing mining infrastructure (e.g. conveyors, transfer stations, process plants, workshops)
- Strong knowledge of Australian standards and design codes
- Experience working across brownfield environments and operational sites is highly regarded
- Chartered status (CPEng / RPEQ) or working towards
- Commercially aware, with the ability to engage clients and contribute to business growth
