The Client

The client is a leading organisation in the renewable energy sector dedicated to advancing sustainable energy solutions. With a solid focus on innovation and environmental responsibility, the client develops and operates a diverse portfolio of clean energy projects including wind, solar and other renewable resources.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer with significant experience in wind energy projects. This role plays a crucial part in thedesign, engineering, and execution of infrastructurefor major capital projects within our client'srenewable energy portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring at least 10 years of relevant civil engineering experience , including in-depth technical work andsupport during construction phases. This position also providestechnical governanceon work performed by contractors, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance with organisational and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Leaddetailed civil engineering tasksfor wind farm projects, encompassing all phases from scoping and budgeting through to conceptual design, construction, and closeout.
- Providetechnical support during construction, addressing site-level engineering issues, verifying compliance, and ensuring timely resolution of civil works challenges.
- Ensuretechnical governance and oversighton civil engineering work performed by contractors, including design verification, documentation reviews, and quality assurance.
- Maintain and interpret engineering drawings such assite plans, road layouts, and foundation designs tailored to wind energy infrastructure.
- Develop and specify materials and equipment, compiling all required documentation for project delivery, drawing on deep civil engineering expertise.
- Perform complex civil engineering calculations, analyses, and detailed designs using best practices and forward-thinking methodologies.
- Identify and develop alternative design methods to solve engineering challenges and optimise project outcomes within the wind energy sector.




- Ensure that all designs and works align with company, local, state, and national codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders to support project needs and foster aligned delivery.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Chartered status is desirable).
- Minimum of 10 years’ relevant technical civil engineering experience , including significant exposure towind farm development and execution .
- Proven ability to deliverdetailed civil engineering designs , such as access roads, drainage, earthworks, and foundations, for utility-scale renewable energy projects.
- Demonstrated experience inconstruction support , including resolution of site-based civil engineering issues.
- Strong track record of managing or overseeingcontractor performance and technical compliance in engineering delivery.
- Proficient in engineering design tools and documentation interpretation specific to wind energy infrastructure.
- Comprehensive understanding of regulatory standards, permitting processes, and compliance requirements for civil works in the renewable sector.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and project coordination skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
