TNAA TotalMed RN is recruiting a Travel Nurse RN for a 13‑week assignment in the Radiology department in Washington, D.C. The role requires working 36 hours per week on 9‑hour day shifts.
- Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using radiation therapy equipment.
- Position patients accurately and comfortably for each treatment session.
- Verify treatment settings and patient identity before delivering therapy.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
- Use imaging technology (CT, X‑rays) to guide accurate treatment delivery.
- Document treatment details and maintain accurate patient records.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, dosimetrists,
and other team members.
- Educate patients and families on procedures, side effects, and care during treatment.
- Inspect, maintain, and calibrate radiation therapy equipment regularly.
- Follow strict radiation‑safety protocols for both patients and staff.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
- Current BLS certification.
- ARRT (T) National Certification.
- State licensure may be required.
