About The Role
We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Participate in routine screening of gynaecological and non-gynaecological specimens
- Attend FNAs and EBUS procedures for the purpose of ROSE
- Maintaining current scientific knowledge
- Liaising with internal and/or external stakeholders (referring practitioners) regarding test results or referrals as necessary
- Compliance and adherence with Policies and Procedures, Workplace Health and Safety Procedures and Quality Assurance Processes.
About You
To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the below requirements:
- Degree in Medical Laboratory Science (or equivalent)
- Skilled in both Gynaecological and Non-Gynaecological cytology
- CTASC (Gyn) qualification required; full CTASC qualification preferred
- Previous microscopy/morphology experience (entry-level applicants considered with training toward CTASC qualification)
- Strong time management, interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage and thrive in a busy environment
- Demonstrated self-initiative and problem-solving capabilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, and commitment to quality and excellence
- Willingness to adhere to departmental and organisational policies and procedures
- Positive attitude toward achieving outcomes and being a cohesive, contributing team member
- This role may require additional vaccination history and evidence for department‑specific vaccine‑preventable diseases
