Are you a hands ‑ on and solutions ‑ focused Product Developer ready to make a meaningful impact in food production?

At Primo Foods, you ’ ll play a key role in supporting product development, cost optimisation, and continuous improvement across our portfolio. You ’ ll work closely with cross ‑ functional teams to enhance product quality, efficiency, and innovation within a fast ‑ paced manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Support EPD and product improvement projects to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost performance
- Identify and implement cost ‑ reduction and process ‑ optimisation opportunities
- Analyse production processes, ingredients, machinery and yields to pinpoint improvements
- Ensure products meet food safety, regulatory and customer quality standards
- Provide technical R&D; support across operations, supply chain, procurement and QA
- Troubleshoot product, process and quality issues and support root cause analysis
- Conduct trials in pilot and factory environments and track outcomes
- Research new ingredients, packaging and processing technologies




- Use data ‑ driven insights to support formulation improvements and scalability
- Manage timelines, deliverables and key milestones across simultaneous projects

About You

- Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or related field
- 2+ years’ experience in product development, R&D;, QA or food manufacturing
- Strong understanding of HACCP, FSANZ, GMP and food safety principles
- Analytical thinker with experience running trials and solving production issues
- Excellent communicator with strong cross ‑ functional collaboration skills
- Detail ‑ oriented, adaptable and comfortable in a fast ‑ paced manufacturing environment
