Registered Nurse – Icon Cancer Centre South Brisbane

This is a permanent part‑time position, working 4 days per week (weekday, day shifts only). The role is within the Medical Oncology team at Icon Cancer Centre South Brisbane, located within the Mater precinct. Reporting to the Nurse Manager, you will deliver exceptional, personalised cancer care to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver expert oncology nursing care in line with professional standards and legislation
- Administer medications and intravenous infusions
- Opportunity to train and provide apheresis services
- Conduct patient assessments, education, and manage treatment‑related side effects
- Insert and maintain peripheral and central access devices
- Assist with procedures and provide pre‑ and post‑care education
- Maintain accurate patient records (written and electronic)
- Offer emotional support to patients and families
- Contribute to daily operations and foster a high‑performance, patient‑centric culture

About You / Qualifications & Skills

You’ll bring a positive, flexible attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. Experience in IV cannulation and knowledge of chemotherapy and supportive therapies is desirable but not essential.

- Current AHPRA registration
- Day oncology experience highly regarded
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills




- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in high‑acuity settings
