About Us:

KIVARI is a Sydney-based fashion brand founded in 2014, known for the ultimate trifecta of style, strength and confidence. All of our products are designed by our talented team in Australia, crafted with sustainability in mind and materials sourced from across the world. Our timeless designs are inspired by a passion for travel and a deep connection to the ocean.

For us, community comes first, we are committed to quality always and fostering a warm workplace where creativity thrives and we provide the opportunity for you to evolve with us as our brand grows across the globe.

About you:

Are you the kind of Garment Technician who can feel a perfect or not so perfect fit before the tape measure confirms it? KIVARI is searching for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Garment Technician to take ownership of fit, construction and technical excellence across our collections - partnering with our design team to translate creative concepts into fit‑ready, beautifully constructed samples and production pieces. With a sharp eye for detail and confident technical judgement, you'll lead fit sessions, own our tech packs and specifications, and be the technical voice working alongside our offshore suppliers - ensuring every garment that carries the KIVARI label delivers on quality, fit and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Lead fit sessions and provide clear, actionable feedback to improve fit, balance and proportion across all product categories.
- Measure and evaluate proto, SMS and PPS samples against design intent and technical standards - ensuring garments measure to the spec sheets.
- Identify and resolve fit and construction issues across all product categories, ensuring the quality and finish of every garment is of the highest standard.
- Create and maintain detailed tech packs - including measurements, grading,

construction and workmanship standards - and update them throughout the development lifecycle.
- Ensure all specifications are accurate, consistent and production‑ready.
- Communicate all fit comments clearly to our offshore suppliers and liaise with offshore factories to ensure technical requirements are understood and executed.
- Provide production technical support - reviewing and assessing samples and bulk, analysing product returns, and creating care label instructions for all production orders.
- Maintain a deep understanding of garment fits, fabrication knowledge and patterns, keeping current with industry developments.
- Build strong, respectful working relationships with the design and production teams, and partner with vendors to improve consistency and efficiency.
- Keep KIVARI on critical path - ensuring administrative and process tasks are completed on time and to standard.
- Lead by example through living KIVARI's values, mentoring through your craft, and championing a safe, inclusive workplace.
- Ad‑hoc duties as requested.

Qualifications:

- 4+ years' experience within a fashion brand or apparel supplier environment, with proven time in a Garment Technician role.
- A diploma or degree in Fashion Technology (essential).
- Deep knowledge of garment construction, fabrications, fit, shape and trims - you can pick up a sample and immediately see what's right and what isn't.
- Confident running fit sessions and translating outcomes into clear,

practical technical solutions.
- Hands‑on experience building and maintaining accurate tech packs and working with offshore suppliers.
- Adobe Illustrator experience (desirable).
- Excellent communication skills - able to clearly articulate fits and commentary to designers, makers and suppliers, and build the kind of relationships that last.
- Strong time management - you thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume setting and respect deadlines and the critical path.
- High level of integrity, a willingness to keep learning, and a genuine team‑player mindset.

What We Offer:

- An amazing, supportive team: Join a creative, collaborative environment that values your craft and where your contribution helps shape the future of our brand.
- Growth opportunities: KIVARI is a rapidly evolving brand, and we are committed to helping you develop your skills and progress in your career.

Location: This role is working in our Head Office in Freshwater, Sydney NSW.
