Role Overview
As a Salesforce Functional Consultant, you'll support the delivery of a public sector Education Cloud implementation , working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams. This role focuses on requirements gathering, functional design, Salesforce configuration, and ensuring solutions align with business processes and user needs.
You'll play a key role in translating business requirements into well-designed Salesforce solutions within an Agile delivery model.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and document requirements gathering workshops and outcomes
- Create and interpret business process maps, including BPMN
- Write transparent user stories using BDD and Gherkin notation
- Configure Salesforce components in line with functional designs
- Perform unit testing and manage assigned tasks to ensure timely delivery
- Assist with backlog management and sprint planning activities
- Identify and raise delivery risks with proposed mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and stakeholders to maintain solution integrity
- Maintain required training and Salesforce certifications
You Will Have
- 1-3 years' experience working with the Salesforce platform
- Experience in functional consulting, business analysis, or delivery roles
- Strong understanding of business process improvement and requirements management
- Ability to engage with stakeholders and communicate effectively
- A consulting mindset with a focus on delivering business value
Certifications (Highly Regarded)
- Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder
- Salesforce Certified Service Cloud Consultant
- SAFe, Product Owner, or Business Analyst certifications (advantageous)
