Role Overview

You'll be a part of our band‑1 Disputes & Investigations practice, working with lawyers across all offices. You will advise clients from sectors such as government, healthcare, infrastructure, transport, mining, critical minerals, renewable energy, and property development. The role offers exposure to a variety of Partners within the practice group across the Allens network and responsibility for a wide range of work.

Responsibilities

- Advising on disputes related to the development and construction of infrastructure, mining, property development and renewable energy projects.
- Handling commercial and contractual disputes, arbitration and Supreme Court litigation throughout Australia.
- Providing expert determination, mediation, DRB/DAB and other alternative dispute resolution support.
- Offering advice on claims and dispute resolution during the project delivery phase for significant Australian and international projects.
- Managing adjudication under the Security of Payment Legislation.

Qualifications

- Experience in construction and project disputes, litigation and claim resolution, ideally from a leading national or international firm.
- Ability to effectively manage larger matters and work collaboratively within the firm and with clients’ teams.
- Willingness to participate in business development activities such as pitch documents, firm‑wide pursuits, article writing, industry events, and seminars.
- Desire to learn, grow, network, and mentor junior lawyers.
