Representing Public Practice Accountants across Brisbane | Senior Recruitment Consultant at The Andersen Partnership

Our client, a successful firm with over 75 years in business, is passionate about helping people and creating the best workplace. Specialising in business services, tax, advisory, SMSF, audit and assurance, and lending, they are seeking a driven Accountant to join their team.

The Role:

- Manage a portfolio of clients
- Assist in preparing Tax returns and Business Activity Statements, for individuals, trusts, companies, and partnerships.
- Prepare tax reconciliation workpapers, asset depreciation schedules, and Division 7A loan reconciliation workpapers.
- Handle GST reconciliation, franking accounts, and superannuation liability schedules.
- Calculate capital gains for property and listed shares.

About You:

- 3 + years of experience in a reputable Australian Accounting firm preparing financials for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or commerce
- CA/CPA or intention to complete.
- You’re confident handling businesses with a turnover of at least $5 million and are experienced in Div7a, GST, CGT, FBT, Payroll, and Property.
- Strong technical acumen, particularly in tax, GST, and financial statements.
- Excellent written communication skills and the ability to draft client facing emails.
- Keen attention to detail, accountability for work, and a desire to learn and grow.
- A positive,



motivated, and approachable attitude.
- You’re proficient in MYOB AE, Xero, QuickBooks, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and MYOB AccountRight.
