Teacher - Primary - Health and Physical Education
This is a 6 month fixed term, part time (0.6 FTE) position commencing Term 3, 2026, with possible extension or permanency.
Overview
Leinster Community School (CS) is a K‑12 school in a remote mining town. It offers a small, collaborative learning environment and supports staff with professional learning and financial incentives aligned with remote appointments.
Role
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Physical Education Teacher. The successful applicant will be able to work independently across a variety of settings and possess strong interpersonal skills. Flexibility and a willingness to engage in a dynamic, diverse environment are essential. The role requires:
- Implement and support the school’s Business Plan and whole‑school initiatives.
- Contribute effectively in a team‑teaching environment.
- Use the Western Australian Curriculum, Early Years and Primary Learning Frameworks, and ICT to design differentiated, engaging learning experiences.
- Apply evidence‑based teaching approaches that foster inclusive, challenging, nurturing, and imaginative learning environments.
- Demonstrate strong Classroom Management Strategies and values‑based education.
- Support students’ social, emotional, and physical learning needs.
Qualifications & Experience
Applicants should hold a valid teaching qualification for Primary Education and may have experience in the Health and Physical Education area.
Eligibility:
- Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or visa holder with valid work rights for the term.
- Completed a WA Working with Children Check before commencement.
