The Stroke Foundation is a national not-for-profit organisation that works with stroke survivors, carers, health professionals, government and the public to reduce the impact of stroke on the Australian community.Our mission is to Prevent Stroke, Save Lives, Enhance Recovery.

This is a part time role (0.6 FTE) working 3 days per week, the role is a fixed term contract starting in February 2026 for a period of 12 months.

Overall purpose of the team

The Events Coordinator is part of the Brand, Communications & Advocacy (BCA) Division and reports directly to the Head of Marketing Services. The BCA Division raises awareness about stroke prevention, treatment and recovery through strategic storytelling, media engagement, advocacy, digital communications and creative content production across multiple channels.

To date, events have been managed across multiple divisions at Stroke Foundation. This new role will enable us to centralise events coordination within the BCA team.

Overall purpose of position

The Events Coordinator supports the delivery of high-quality, high-impact events that bring Stroke Foundation's mission to life. The role coordinates the planning and logistics for major national campaigns and events, and a range of stakeholder, partnership and government activations throughout the year. Working collaboratively across teams, the Events Coordinator ensures each event is well planned, professionally delivered, and aligned with our brand and strategic priorities. The role provides hands-on support from concept to execution, helping create memorable experiences that engage the community, recognise achievements and advance Stroke Foundation's purpose.

Key responsibilities

Event Planning and Delivery





- Coordinate end-to-end logistics for Stroke Foundation's calendar of events, including national campaigns, fundraising activations, government and stakeholder events, and internal functions.
- Develop and manage event timelines, run sheets, and logistics plans.
- Coordinate venues, catering, suppliers, AV and technical requirements, accommodation, permits and contracts.
- Support photography and videography requirements at each event or activation.
- Support the development of event briefs, invitations, guest lists and post-event evaluations.
- Ensure events are delivered on time, within budget and to Stroke Foundation's quality and safety standards.

Stakeholder and Team Collaboration

- Liaise with colleagues across the BCA Division to ensure consistent messaging, branding and audience experience across all events.
- Work closely with Fundraising and Development, and Partnerships to support sponsor activations, donor engagement and supporter recognition opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure clear communication and smooth delivery.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders, event participants, and partners.

Communications, Marketing and Brand Alignment

- Work with BCA colleagues to ensure all event materials and activities reflect Stroke Foundation's brand and tone of voice.
- Support the integration of communications, social media,



and marketing activities across key campaigns and events.
- Contribute to the collection of stories, photos and highlights from events to support post-event content and impact reporting.

Budgeting and Administration

- Support the preparation and tracking of event budgets, invoices and expenditure approvals.
- Maintain accurate records, supplier details and contracts within Stroke Foundation's CRM.
- Assist with reporting on event outcomes, attendance and engagement metrics.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of event processes, templates and systems.
