The Organisation
A large, high growth technology driven transport & logistics group is centralising finance into a shared‑services hub to support multiple operating brands. The environment is growth‑oriented, change‑heavy and offers meaningful scope to uplift process, systems, and control.
The Opportunity
Lead financial control and statutory compliance for one of the group’s major businesses while driving close discipline, cashflow visibility, and ERP/process improvement. High exposure to the GFC/CFO and a clear mandate to standardise, automate and scale.

Key Responsibilities
- Run a disciplined month‑and‑year‑end; ensure GL integrity,
intercompany, consolidations and reconciliations; deliver weekly/monthly analysis for senior leadership.
- Manage cashflow and forecasting; surface insights and actions.
- Own statutory compliance and lodgements (FBT/BAS/GST).
- Strengthen systems and controls; document process maps/SOPs; lead ERP/BI‑enabled improvements.
- Coach a small qualified/transactional team; partner with adjacent shared‑service functions (Billing, AP, AR).
About You
- CA/CPA (or equivalent) with ~7+ years’ experience; industry‑grounded finance leadership preferred (Big 4 exposure valued but not essential).
- Track record in continuous improvement/change; advanced Excel; BI/reporting usage; ERP/process transformation exposure.
- Pragmatic and stakeholder‑savvy; able to build trust with long‑tenured teams while lifting standards.
