This is a site‑based HSE Advisor role working closely with an experienced project team to drive safety performance and foster a proactive safety culture across a large‑scale development.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading day‑to‑day HSE activities across the project site
- Conducting site inductions, inspections, and audits (SWMS, plant, equipment)
- Managing incident investigations and corrective actions
- Driving compliance with WHS legislation and safety management plans
- Facilitating toolbox talks, pre‑starts, and safety meetings
- Monitoring subcontractor compliance and safety performance
- Maintaining safety systems and records (including digital platforms like HammerTech)
- Promoting continuous improvement and a strong safety‑first culture
About You
You are a proactive and confident HSE professional who thrives in a fast‑paced construction environment. You’ll bring:
- Proven experience in a site‑based HSE role within construction (multi‑story / residential / commercial construction)
- Solid knowledge of QLD WHS legislation and Codes of Practice
- Experience managing subcontractors on large‑scale projects
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Solid auditing, inspection, and incident investigation capabilities
- A hands‑on, solutions‑focused approach to safety
