About NB Media

NB Media is a fast-growing Tasmanian media company creating high-quality video, photography and digital content for businesses across the state.

We work across a wide range of industries, producing everything from brand films and advertising campaigns to social media content, corporate videos, property media and event coverage.

We are looking for a talented Videographer / Photographer to join our team and help us continue raising the standard of creative media in Tasmania.

About the Role

This is a hands-on creative role for someone who is confident behind the camera, works well with clients and consistently produces professional content.

You will be involved in planning and filming shoots, photographing businesses, people and locations, capturing interviews and events, and working closely with our editing and operations teams to deliver excellent results for our clients.

The role will primarily involve work throughout Launceston and Northern Tasmania, with occasional travel to other parts of the state.

Key Responsibilities

- Film professional video content for businesses, brands, events and advertising campaigns

- Capture high-quality commercial, lifestyle, property and corporate photography

- Set up and operate cameras, lighting, audio and other production equipment

- Confidently direct clients and talent during shoots

- Capture interviews, testimonials, social media content and promotional footage

- Work from creative briefs, scripts and shot lists

- Collaborate with our production, editing and operations teams

- Carefully manage and organise footage and files after each shoot

- Maintain a high standard of presentation, communication and professionalism





- Represent NB Media positively while working with clients

Depending on your experience, there will also be opportunities to assist with video editing and post-production.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

- Experienced in professional videography and photography

- Creative, technically capable and detail-focused

- Confident working with clients and directing people on camera

- Reliable, organised and able to manage changing shoot schedules

- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

- Able to work efficiently without sacrificing quality

- Calm under pressure and capable of solving problems on location

- Interested in developing their skills and building a long-term career in the media industry

Skills and Experience

The ideal applicant will have:

- A strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating video and photography work

- Experience operating professional camera equipment

- A strong understanding of lighting, composition, exposure and audio

- Experience filming interviews, promotional content or commercial projects

- A current Australian driver’s licence

- Reliable transport

- Availability for occasional early mornings, evenings and weekend shoots

- Full Australian working rights

Experience using skilled camera systems, drones, gimbals, lighting equipment, Adobe Premiere Pro or other editing software will be highly regarded.

A drone licence or experience operating drones commercially would also be an advantage, but is not essential.
