Position

Support Worker (Casual / Part-Time)

Location

Various locations across Perth, WA (community, SIL homes, drop-in supports, and in-home care).

Key Responsibilities

- Provide direct personal care, including assistance with daily living activities such as showering, grooming, dressing, toileting, and meal preparation.

- Support participants in achieving their individual goals and enhancing independence.

- Administer or assist with medication management in line with training and policies.

- Facilitate and encourage community participation, social inclusion, and recreational activities.

- Maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes, incident reports, and risk assessments.

- Uphold strict professional boundaries, confidentiality, and Affinity Care WA’s values at all times.

- Work collaboratively with participants, their families, support coordinators, and the broader Affinity Care WA team.

Essential Requirements

- Essential previous experience in disability, aged care, or community services.

- Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent (or working towards).





- Current First Aid and CPR certification.

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check / National Police Clearance.

- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC).

- Manual Handling training (or willingness to obtain).

- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.

- COVID-19 vaccination in line with WA Health requirements.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting people with disabilities.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Versatile and adaptable to participant needs and changing environments.

- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.
