About the role

Genius Fencing & Metal Works Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated Material and Powder coating Coordinator to join our team in Deer Park, Victoria. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in managing our inventory, procurement and powder coating operations. As Material Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of materials throughout our manufacturing and logistics operations, directly supporting the efficiency and profitability of the business. This role is essential to maintaining optimal stock levels, coordinating with suppliers and powder coater, and ensuring that production schedules are met without interruption.

What you'll be doing

- Manage and monitor inventory levels across all warehousing locations, ensuring adequate stock availability for production and delivery schedules

- Manually / using forklift to handle material and send for powder coating

- Laise with powder coater to arrange schedules and colors and etc

- Coordinate with suppliers to place orders, negotiate pricing, and manage delivery schedules to maintain cost efficiency and quality standards

- Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliation to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions

- Prepare and maintain accurate inventory records and documentation using relevant management systems

- Liaise with production and logistics teams to forecast material requirements and plan procurement activities accordingly

- Track received materials for quality assurance and ensure compliance with company specifications and industry standards

- Manage material handling, storage, and organisation to optimise warehouse space and accessibility





- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency

- Prepare reports on inventory status, procurement activities, and material usage for management review

- Support the development and maintenance of supplier relationships and contracts

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in procurement, inventory management, or material coordination within a manufacturing or logistics environment

- Driving ute/small truck (car licence) and mandarin speaking

- Willing to work hard and accept chanlleges

- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously

- Solid understanding of supply chain principles and procurement best practices

- Solid attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation

- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

- Knowledge of quality assurance processes and stock control procedures

- Ability to identify inefficiencies and propose practical solutions

- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement
