About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Events Coordinator to join our Communications and Engagement team in a fixed-term parental leave opportunity through to January 2028.
This is your opportunity to lead the planning and delivery of engaging events and activations, so the outdoor spaces of the Bentley campus are vibrant and exciting for students, staff and the wider community. From concept to delivery, you'll work collaboratively to bring creative ideas to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate creative concepts, all planning and procurement, and event delivery in outdoor locations.
- Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, contractors and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery within scope, budget and agreed timelines.
- Use qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate initiatives and continuously improve future programs.
- Produce thorough and clear documentation required to effectively pitch and deliver events and activations (which will also include passive assets.)
- Work in a supportive and collaborative team while managing a diverse portfolio of creative, safe and successful events and activations.
Selection Criteria:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated event experience, ideally delivering successful events, activations or placemaking initiatives.
- Completion of a relevant degree or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- A creative mindset with the ability to develop unique and engaging experiences.
- Experience using data and insights to inform and evaluate outcomes.
- The flexibility to work outside normal office hours when required to support and deliver events and activations.
Role Requirements:
1. As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role
2. Successful applicants will be subject to a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin’s satisfaction

This fixed-term opportunity attracts a salary package of $109,277 - $117,331 (G07) per annum plus 17% superannuation.
