As we expand our operations, we are seeking an experienced, high-calibre General Retail Manager to lead our flagship store, optimise financial performance, and drive strategic business growth.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

1. Financial Planning & Strategic Management
* **Budgetary Control:** Formulate, monitor, and manage annual and monthly store budgets, operational expenses, and revenue targets.
* **Pricing & Policy:** Formulate and implement competitive pricing, purchasing, and inventory management policies to maximise profitability.
* **Performance Analysis:** Analyze financial statements, sales data, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to devise cost-reduction and revenue-generation strategies.

2. Operations, Supply Chain & Merchandising
* **Product Mix & Inventory:** Determine the optimal product mix, set strict quality control standards, and manage relationships with suppliers and wholesalers.
* **Multi-Channel Coordination:** Align physical in-store operations with multi-channel delivery networks, digital ordering frameworks, and promotional timelines.
* **Stock Security:** Implement and monitor strict stock-taking procedures, inventory logs, and loss prevention strategies.

3. Marketing & Sales Optimisation
* **Campaign Execution:** Oversee the development and execution of targeted local advertising campaigns and sales promotions.




* **Visual Merchandising:** Establish and enforce corporate visual merchandising standards to enhance customer engagement and floor layout efficiency.

4. Human Resources & Compliance Management
* **Workforce Planning:** Direct the recruitment, selection, onboarding, training, and performance evaluation of all retail staff.
* **Rostering & Supervision:** Create compliant staff rosters, assign daily managerial targets, and foster a high-performance team culture.
* **Regulatory Compliance:** Ensure total store compliance with Australian Occupational Health and Safety (OHS/WHS) legislation, fair work regulations, and local trading laws.

Requirements and Qualifications
* **Education:** A relevant Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification. In the absence of a formal degree, a minimum of 5 years of highly relevant, senior-level retail management experience may be considered (as per ANZSCO Skill Level 2 criteria).
* **Experience:** Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Retail Store Manager or higher, demonstrating complete oversight of budgets, P&L;, and staff management.
* **Skills:** Robust financial acumen, strategic planning abilities, excellent leadership capabilities, and deep knowledge of supply chain logistics.
