We deliver installation, maintenance, refurbishment and breakdown support to clients across manufacturing, food processing, pharmaceuticals, warehousing, logistics and industrial production facilities.

Due to continued business growth and increasing project demand, we are seeking an experienced Fitter (General) to join our mechanical maintenance team based in Glendenning, NSW.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

- Installing, assembling and commissioning industrial machinery and production equipment.
- Performing preventative and corrective mechanical maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out repairs to minimise production downtime.
- Dismantling, repairing and reassembling pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, motors, bearings, shafts and associated mechanical equipment.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical manuals and maintenance specifications.
- Aligning, fitting and testing mechanical components using precision measuring instruments.
- Replacing worn or defective mechanical components.
- Conducting machine upgrades, refurbishments and equipment modifications.
- Assisting with factory shutdowns and installation projects.




- Maintaining detailed maintenance records and completing service documentation.
- Ensuring all work complies with workplace health and safety requirements.
- Liaising with electricians, fabricators and project managers to deliver integrated maintenance solutions.

Essential Requirements

Applicants should possess:

- Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent qualification.
- At least one year relevant experience, or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong mechanical fitting and fault-finding skills.
- Experience maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Current driver’s licence.

Desirable Skills

Experience with one or more of the following will be highly regarded:

- Conveyor systems
- Automated production equipment
- Pneumatic systems
- Hydraulic systems
- Food manufacturing equipment
- Packaging machinery
- Industrial automation environments
- Welding or fabrication experience
- Installation and commissioning of production machinery

Pay: $36.73 – $69.66 per hour
