About Choji Yakiniku

About the Role

· Assist the Head Chef / Kitchen Manager according to established recipes and standards.

· Ensure meat preparation consistently meets our high standards of quality and presentation.

· Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene in line with HACCP and food safety regulations.

· Label, date, and store meat products appropriately to maintain freshness and prevent cross-contamination.

· Monitor inventory, manage meat storage conditions efficiently, and support stock ordering processes.

· Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to guarantee timely and precise preparation.

· Use expert knife skills to handle precise meat cuts and ensure maintenance of kitchen equipment.

· Follow and contribute ideas towards recipes and menu innovations focused on meat dishes.

· Minimise waste through portion control and sustainable practices.

· Adhere strictly to company policies related to food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety.

About You





· Minimum 1 year experience as a chef; previous experience in a Japanese Yakiniku restaurant highly preferred.

· Knowledge of various meat cuts, particularly those used in Yakiniku cuisine.

· Familiarity with Japanese culinary techniques and traditions.

· Strong knife skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to perform efficiently under pressure in a dynamic environment.

· Effective communicator and team player.

· Physically capable of handling and lifting heavy items.
