Vitex Pharmaceuticals is seeking a highly motivated and creative Product Development Officer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key role in the development of new pharmaceutical products from concept to commercialisation.

Your Responsibilities will include:

- Support Recent Product Development (NPD) activities, including formulation development, product trials, testing and technical documentation within a pharmaceutical/nutraceutical manufacturing environment.
- Review ingredient functionality, raw material suitability and supplier information to support product innovation and improvement.
- Liaise with suppliers and Procurement teams regarding raw materials, samples, documentation and new product opportunities.
- Monitor industry trends, ingredient innovations and market developments to identify opportunities for new products and process improvements.
- Collaborate with R&D;, Production, QA, QC,



Sales and other stakeholders to ensure products meet quality, GMP and regulatory requirements.

Skills and Experience:

- Bachelor's or master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or related field
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical product development or a related field is essential eg: FMCG, confectionary, cosmetics, cosmeceuticals, veterinary medicine.
- Specialised in manufacturing or formulation of liquid and/or semi-solid (cream, ointment, gel) type products and/or chewable products (gummies, pastilles etc).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
