The opportunity:
Join our dynamic Lyppard Branch team in Balcatta as a Customer Service Officer, where you'll play an important part in ensuring veterinary customers receive exceptional service and support. From processing orders and assisting customers over the phone to investigating and resolving enquiries, you'll help deliver a seamless customer experience while contributing to the success of our branch operations.
What you will do:
Answers telephone calls promptly
Ensure accurate data entry
Checks web orders, emails, and fax on a regular basis throughout the day.
Assigns orders to appropriate priority for picking and despatch
Calls customers to advise of backorders, ETA’s and alternatives.
Assist customers with alternative products and availability
Liaises with purchasing officer regarding stock availability
Liaises with store staff regarding any special needs for orders
Notifies Branch Manager/Operations Manager of complaints or issues regarding incorrect or damaged stock received by clients
Liaises with freight companies regarding delivery issues
Research products and availability of non-stock lines for clients
Daily photocopier and fax machine maintenance
Liaises with suppliers regarding stock availability and purchase order ETA
Processes customer credits
Prepares and manages damaged stock and short expiry stock lists
Assisting in the warehouse from time to time with order picking and packing
Product coding for veterinary clinic software integration
Check Stock expiry dates for customers
Advises customers of current promotions
Filing of paperwork daily
Archiving completed orders and credits
Assisting Territory Managers with Customer quotations
Processes credit card payments with Accounts Department
What we are looking for:
Minimum of 1 – 2 years relevant work experience in veterinary industry or similar environment
Some skill and knowledge in inventory, data entry and computer skills
Have knowledge of the Veterinary industry and the products
Good communication, organisational, time management mathematical skills
Very good attention to detail – can 'zoom in' to detail quickly and accurately and identify inconsistencies and mistakes
Ability to display initiative and take responsibility for solving problems
Ability to identify improvements and have high personal standards
Shows interest and willingness to expand product knowledge
Strong sense of team and work ethic
