Role Description The Pharmacy Technician Level 4 role at Pharmacy 777 is a full-time, on-site position based in Albion Park New South Wales, Australia. In this role, the technician supports pharmacists in the safe and accurate processing of prescriptions, including dispensing medications, preparing dosage forms, and maintaining appropriate records. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing inventory levels, ordering and receiving stock, rotating products, and ensuring storage standards are met. The technician provides customer service by assisting patients with medication queries within scope, processing transactions, and contributing to a welcoming and professional pharmacy environment. The role also involves adhering to regulatory and safety guidelines, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and collaborating with the wider pharmacy team to deliver consistent, patient-centred care.
- Dispensing, supply, and distribution of medications:
Ensuring that medications are dispensed correctly and that supplies are available for patients. Has a sound knowledge of Fred Plus/Zed dispensing system.
- Patient Interaction: Serving as the first point of contact for patients, collecting information, verifying insurance coverage, and assisting with routine questions while referring medical advice to pharmacists
- Assist the pharmacist in Dose Administration Aids prepping and packing. Ensuring the blister packs are checked and collected by the patients in a timely manner
- Inventory Management: Monitoring stock levels, tracking expiration dates, ordering and restocking medications, and maintaining proper storage conditions
- Training & Mentorship: Lead the onboarding and competency training of junior staff and students.
- Standard Operating Procedures: Develop, update, and enforce technical pharmacy protocols to maintain high safety standards.
- Has the ability to compound medicine under the supervision of the pharmacist.
- Ability to set up a Sleep Study, mask fittings, and set up CPAP machines. Monitors customers with obstructive sleep apnea disorder.
Qualification:
- Certificate IV Pharmacy Technician or equivalent to 5-10 years' experience.
- Sleep Study - CPAP Training Certificate.
- Pharmacist-Assisted Dose Administration Aids – experience of 2-5 years.
- Police check
Ability to commute/relocate:
Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
- Dispensary technician: 5 years (Required)
Licence/Certification:
- Certificate IV Pharmacy Technician (Required)
- Positive Skills Assessment from VETASSES
Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
