About the Team

The F&CI; team compromises of asset management, capital infrastructure planning and delivery, property and leasing, facilities management, building maintenance, engineering services, contracts administration, and Jacaranda Place facilities management. The CHQ building portfolio includes the QCH hospital precinct and owned/leased/co-habitated community sites and office buildings.

About the Role

Lead and manage medium to large-scale infrastructure projects across the full lifecycle, applying robust project, financial and risk management practices.
Develop and facilitate formal project plans, governance plans, budgets, supporting documentation to ensure quality project outcomes are delivered on time.
Manage, monitor and report on project plans, progress, budget forecasts and expenditure against allocated project funding. Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies and escalate when required.
Manage and maintain effective key stakeholder relationships and networks to ensure that the project/s achieves the identified benefits and objectives and ensure stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project life cycle, including effective communication to promote the successful planning and delivery of major projects, application of lessons learned and feedback.
Deliver detailed project plans, progress reports and closure reports for large scale infrastructure projects and all technical projects.
Prepare written submissions, briefs, presentations and reports to support informed decision making by senior stakeholders.
Provide effective and appropriate communication to multiple and varied stakeholders from both contracted service provider and the clinical and non-clinical teams of CHQ.
Guide, mentor and supervise project staff, consultants and contractors, fostering capability and supporting multidisciplinary project teams and portfolio deliverables.




Enable informed decision making on project issues by developing timely and relevant written submissions, briefs, presentations and information papers for project stakeholders on project, financial and human resource matters
Actively participate in a working environment that supports equity, anti-discrimination, WHS and ethical behaviour.
Actively contribute to maintaining a safe workplace that values the health and safety of co-workers, clients or visitors with a focus on Infection Control Management practices.

Provide effective and appropriate communication to multiple and varied stakeholders from both contracted service provider and the clinical and non-clinical teams of CHQ
Ensure compliance with the performance-based requirements of the Building Code of Australia, Workplace Health and Safety Act and other relevant Australian Standards (including the Australasian Health Facility Guidelines) in addition to appropriate infection control processes.
