Kimbadell Pastoral Company are seeking a Mobile Plant Operator for their broadacre farming enterprise, located in Esperance WA, approx. 65km from Esperance townsite.

The candidate will live and work in the Goldfields DAMA region and play a crucial role in increasing farm production and profits, while ensuring farm operations are carried out safely and machinery is well maintained.

The position is full-time and requires an average of 38 hours per week.

Tasks & Responsibilities

- Assist with preseason servicing and maintenance of all farm machinery, ensuring machinery is prepared for plant operation
- Operate and ensure facilitation of a range of agricultural machinery including but not limited to sprayers, air-seeders, harvesters and loaders.
- Undertake in-house maintenance and repairs of machinery as instructed
- Calibrate and monitor plant and equipment performance by adjusting implement speed, height, depth, other settings and application or collection rates as required.
- Utilise the use of ag software for record keeping purposes and on farm compliance.
- Ensure compliance with all farm policies, procedures, workplace health and safety requirements, whilst also maintain a protected working environment.
- Working efficiently within a team environment, while also demonstrating the ability to operate autonomously when required.

Qualifications & Experience





- AQF Certificate II in Agriculture or equivalent to 1 year of relevant experience operating agricultural machinery and mobile plant equipment.
- Current Australian drivers license
- Mechanical knowledge to assist with basic servicing, maintenance and fault finding.
- Sound knowledge of up-to-date farming practices, crop management and precision agriculture systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, whilst also contributing to the team environment
- Well-developed communication skills and a proactive solutions-focused approach
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety, efficiency and quality outcomes of agricultural operations.

- The role is full-time and permanent, offering a salary between $70,000 and $85,000 for the right candidate
