We're looking for a passionate and capable Assistant Director to support the leadership of one of our OSHC services and help deliver exceptional experiences for children, families and educators.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced children's services professional who is ready to take the next step in their leadership journey while remaining connected to what matters most, supporting children to learn, grow and belong.

About the Role

Working closely with the Director, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the service, supporting program quality, educator performance, compliance and family engagement. You'll be a visible leader who helps create a positive team culture while ensuring high standards of care and education are consistently maintained.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing leadership responsibilities with hands-on involvement in delivering meaningful programs for children.

Roster

This position offers a consistent 37.5-hour work week across before and after school care operations:

- Monday to Friday: 6:30am to 9:30am
- Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 2:15pm to 6:15pm
- Tuesday & Thursday: 1:00pm to 6:15pm

Key Responsibilities

- Support the delivery of high-quality OSHC programs aligned with the National Quality Framework.
- Lead, mentor and support educators through coaching, guidance and collaboration.
- Contribute to program planning, reflective practice and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate daily operations and support service leadership in the Director's absence.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, policies and procedures.
- Ensure documentation, risk management processes and reporting requirements are completed accurately.
- Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, schools and the wider community.
- Promote a safe,



inclusive and child-focused environment where every child can thrive.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Experience working within OSHC, early childhood or children's services.
- A Diploma or Degree qualification in a relevant field.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
- Solid communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of child development and inclusive practices.
- Current First Aid, CPR and relevant education and care certifications.
- A valid Working With Children Check.
- A genuine passion for supporting children, families and educators.
