Location: This role can be based in Sydney, Parramatta, Gosford or another approved Service NSW location.
Hybrid vs In-office requirements: Minimum 2 days per week in office (in an approved Service NSW location). Versatile working conditions are available.
This role sits within the Enterprise, Risk and Enablement Division in the Procurement and Assurance team.
About the team
The Service NSW Procurement & Assurance team delivers timely, fit-for-purpose and value for money procurement activities, partnering with our customers and stakeholders to meet business outcomes and deliver costs savings.
Our team predominately leads Service NSW procurement activities below $1M (and >$1M with approval) and variations and negotiations on Service NSW existing contracts of all values, and collaborates with DCS Procurement, our dedicated SNSW Contract Management team and business customers, to proactively manage the Service NSW pipeline of procurement activities.
We are leaders in the adoption of the My Procurement App and we are focused on improving procurement processes to enhance the customer experience and drive favourable outcomes.
Your day-to-day
- Independently develop, coordinate, and lead sourcing activities, including preparing sourcing strategies and tender documentation, undertaking the evaluation process, and negotiating initial contract terms.
- Broaden your knowledge of ICT platforms and services through collaboration with various Digital teams across Service NSW.
- As a divisional procurement lead, collaborate with internal teams to build procurement capability and provide timely procurement strategy advice and high-level guidance on governance and best practice.
- Contribute to the enhancement of procurement processes to drive customer engagement and successful delivery of outcomes.
- Act as an escalation point for complex issues, providing guidance and solutions to resolve problems effectively.
- Promote wellbeing and inclusion within the team, ensuring a safe and supportive work environment.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- Demonstrated experience in independent procurement planning, sourcing, and contract negotiations.
- Strong knowledge of NSW Government and DCS Procurement Policy and frameworks.
- Proven ability and willingness to contribute to a positive team culture that drives engagement, collaboration and continuous capability development.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
- High-level analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
