We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team here at Dicandilos. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently within the metropolitan region. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the flow of goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a commercial truck to transport goods to and from designated locations within the metro area.
- Ensure timely and safe delivery of products while complying with all road safety regulations.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance to ensure the truck is in good working condition.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling of materials and following company procedures.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to provide updates on delivery status.
- Handle paperwork related to deliveries, including delivery receipts and bills of lading.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License – Class HR and LF High Risk - HC would be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of the metro area and local roadways.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems on the go.
- Flexibility with hours, including weekends when necessary.
- Previous experience with steel deliveries is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for long periods while driving.
- Ability to lift, carry, and load/unload heavy goods.
- Occasional bending, squatting, and reaching.
